ADAM DRUKS

(1930, Oswiecim – 1996 Kfar Vradim, Israel) was the son of Iro Druks, a well-known lawyer and member of Oswiecim Town Council, and Łucja Lieberman, a co-owner and director of Emil Kuźnicki roofing paper factory, established in 1888.
Druks arrived in Israel, via Russia, in 1942. He graduated from Archeological Department of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, and worked as an archeologist in the Ancient Archeology Department of the Israeli Ministry of Culture and Education for 30 years, during which time. he participated in archeological expeditions in sites including Tiberias, Masada, and The Golan Heights, among others. Druks served as chair of the Association of the Former Residents of Oswiecim in Israel.
